Severe weather warnings being flashed up on the M56. Let’s see what constitutes severe these days.
No snow at seen from the hills above Burnley at lunchtime.
Snowing on the A30 around Okehampton this morning, and quite a dusting on the high ground all around, no photos, the hedges are too high to get a clear shot from the car at 70mph.
who’s on it tomorrow? For where I live it was forecast heavy snow but has now been downgraded to light snow/rain instead which is much more preferable.
Some slush, maybe sleet, if it really kicks off fer darn Sarf.
I predict transport system meltdown, “Snowmageddon” headlines, & numerous Chelsea tractors in ditches.
Also the Scandies & Alpine countries will:
A. Laugh at our ineptitude to deal with some hail.
B. Ask quietly if they could have some as it’s all looking “a bit brown” on the slopes currently – ta very much!
Yes I predict exactly the wrong amount of snow. That is enough to double the time it takes to get to work but not enough to make it impossible to get to work.
As my mother used to say 2 inches is no good to anyone, no one is satisfied by less than a good 6 inches.
