A lot more useful than moaning on the sticker thread I reckon 😉 . I know there’s already one back in the annals of history but didn’t want to resurrect that as it was in a similar vein to . . . well, you know . . .
Only one I have at the mo’ as my lovely dandy horse one got lost when fotopic went down 🙁
Yeah it was an emergency Elf – ran out of Vindaloo so had to pop down the local Spar one evening . . . big a$$ lock was in work hence the 2 locks and photograph (actually 3 – U lock not pictured) . . . paranoid? me? 👿 Quickest shop I’ve ever done though 😆
I haven’t got any stickers because I always thought it was an obvious promotional tool and the actual slogans make me cringe in a ‘You’re actually a grown up, so why are you acting like a teenager’ kind of way.
If every bike shop owner came on doing the whole ‘Buy from me’ thing, the forum would be an appreciably poorer place…
Crikey – I suggest then that you leave STW and find a forum for serious grown up adult types. Ctbm’s stickers are a bit of light-hearted fun from someone who can see enjoyment in life rather than being anal. I have 2 – 1 from a ride a couple of years ago when he brought some along, and 1 from a couple of weeks ago when I called in to his shop to say hello. I’m not a customer though and feel under no pressure to become one; likewise the majority of stw dwellers use gears and would find his services superfluous – sticker 1 (this machine kills fascists) adorns my microwave, although (lube me and abuse me) is on my DMR.
So to summarise – Free the SSwanage 1 (see what I did there?)
proper grown up dont waste away their lives posting on forums
Grown up??? Where’s the fun in that??
I found another . . . perfect for this morning’s can’t afford a front mech and shifter so I’ll chop off my outer chainring and spray the whole lot black project 8)
Crikey! I agree with you. It’s not that so much that their childish or silly… just that they’re a bit naff. They do about as much for me as mint sauce cartoons… absolutely nothing.
