That was our banana skin, why are there two Scotland teams? Team 1, backs slick forwards awful. Team 2; forwards effective backs awful.Someday we will combine the two…What’s a plastique?

According to the commentators the average weight of a Samoan player in the squad is 108kg.

Not average forward weight, but average weight overall! 😯

(Being ITV I wonder if that’s true though?)

    Darcy, as well you know, I’m a traveller….! 🙂

Re Samoa, not only are they big, but like the Fijians, they are skilled players with it. Lovely handling expected alongside bruising hits.

Will need Roberts and North running at them to hope to make any impact!

Still, at least the Chiropractor has retired!

How are you feeling about your kinsmen in Dale Farm flashy? Gotta be feeling for them eh? 🙂

Going to be a smashing game this one. Wales have two objectives. Primary: win (I think they’re too mobile and that the current weak position of full back won’t be tested as much so primary objective is probable). Secondary: injury free. Improbable 🙂

The key for Wales is to play a hi tempo game without falling into the trap of just flinging it wide at every opportunity. This game is what Gatlandball was invented for.

Quality performance from Scotland, did exactly what they needed.

Forwards played very well, scrum was solid Props were very good.

Very difficult conditions, not exactly weather for running rugby, but as usual the English media take every oppertunity to have a go.

Well done to the boys, a nice well earned rest and back to it next week.

Fair play everyone connected with Scotchland seem to have their heads in the sand, they will have to improve by a huge amount to worry argentina. No matter what the conditions were failing to score a try and scraping to victory is dog shit poor.
Wales if they play like they did against SA should have too much for Samoa up front, so I fully expect them to loose.

I sort of agree with you that getting a win is the important part, but surely they must have been thinking of a bonus point against Georgia?

I mean, it’s Georgia! Great forwards, but backs who barely know the shape of a rugby ball.

And forward performance aside (which was really just ok because it was only Georgia…), Scotland looked pretty average. If they can’t beat the Georgian defence, what chance have they against the more professional and cynical sides like England or Argentina.

I can’t see them getting out of the group based on this morning.

Sorry but your far from the mark, when the weather is as bad as it was its always a matter of grinf=ding out a win, no matter what side you are.

Scotland will be going through probably with England, not sure which one will be first yet.

No doubt if conditions allow England can put 40points past Georgia, but so could Scotland in similar conditions.

If England/Argentina have decent conditions for their games and get bonus points then Scotland are in trouble because they can’t rely on ‘we could have done that’.

Scotland must have some experience of playing in wind and rain? Anyway, it didn’t seem to affect their passing game. The backs, Parks especially, looked as clueless as ever.

I’m off to meet the team, I’ll pass on your critique fo their performance and come back to you with their response.
I am also going to kick Parks and mess his hair up.

Georgia are a professional outfit these days – I think they will trouble everyone
England and Argentina have hardly set the heather alight have they? Group of death appears rather dead right now. Workman like performance from the Scots. Good work out for the big boys in the pack.

Robinson has to get the selection right tho for the two big games. A few tricky calls. Half backs and back row. Got to get the ball to the strike runners. Nice to see Lamont and Evans come looking for the ball today. Did anyone of so limited talent ever try so hard as Sean Lamont? He busts a gut every game

Sean Lamont is an immense but at times he seems such a ‘confidence player’. He certainly gives it everything but when things aren’t going his way he seems to struggle more than most. When he’s on fire he’s a machine!

Watching Scotland today was like watching Glasgow playing at home a year or two back with Parks at the helm- almost a carbon copy!

Georgia were not as bad as I had expected. The fly half was kicking so smoothly and sweetly while most seem to be struggling with the new balls.

    Samoa look strong too!

I wouldn’t be surprised if they manage to top the group even though it seems unlikely

no chance of that, SA will beat the shit out of them they could well beat Wales if Wales dont play well though.

    Christ you Scottish are optimists.

Russia v USA should be a good game. Well balanced teams….

Its pretty poor CFH actually. USA are bossing it, running incisive lines then slowing it up themselves almost deliberately. Allowing Russia time to regroup.

A few unaaceptable moustaches in the US pack, and one unforgivable pony tail…and stars n stripes scrum cap flier boy keeps dropping it…

    Oh. Not good. I’ve always rather like him as a player. Especially for his part in this;
