Sad times, they recently cancelled the 2024 tour.

Im trying to learn Scorpions and LA Guns tunes on the guitar just now. Might go and switch to Magnum tonight.
‘Dont Wake the Lion’ and ‘How Far Jerusalem’ – awesome tracks….

Sad news. First saw them at the (then) Colston Hall in Bristol, some time circa 81/82.  Then subsequently on the bill of various festivals.  His voice and song writing were a cut above most metal/rock bands of the time.  I think they barely stopped touring in the intervening 40 years! A hardworking band with a core following of loyal fans.  ‘Sacred hour’ and ‘the Spirit’ off ‘chase the dragon’ would be my faves.  I still have the vinyl original purchased in the early 80s.

Been a fan since the mid 80s and was hoping to see them on the latest tour, which was cancelled. Really sad news and I echo the comments above. My favourite was The Spirit closely followed by On a Storytellers Night.

Saw them a few times, particularly the Storyteller’s Night tour – they played Golddiggers in Chippenham as a warmup gig. “How Far Jerusalem” and “Les Morts Dansant” are my favourite tracks off Storyteller. I’m now of an age where more and more artists I grew up with are passing. ☹️

Seen them most years in the last decade, they’ve become prolific tourers in their later life and release new albumns almost every year (one is about to drop any day IIRC).

    Great shame.

NB Mark Stanway (original keyboardist) also tours separately playing their early stuff under the name of “Kingdom of Madness”. They split up the day after a gig at the Cambridge Junction I was at, so saw the last time they played together.

I’m not a big gig goer but saw them way back on the Wings of Heaven tour – really great show and some fantastic songs down the years.

A band that has completely passed me by – despite me being a big rock fan since the late 70s.

Perhaps I need to listen to their back catalogue.

One of those gigs is on YouTube in pretty high res (for the 80s).
