Just get the right one to fit your budget. 3xx is where the decentish stuff starts.
Eyelets. Decent alloy. Strong enough. Machined brake track (they might all have that now)
And TBH what njee20 says does apply. Mavic haven’t updated any of their rims or had anything particularly competitive in the mtb world for 10 years. Road is slightly better. But not much.
The main benefit is you can get them anywhere, they aren’t massively expensive for and that they are and they are really easy to build.
Mavic really want you to buy their system wheels, that’s where the money is.
