Facebook is home to some very very special people….

I wonder where one finds them in real life. Sitting in my office, while there's some amused bafflement at the police's travails, and hilarity at the media circus, even a bit of grudging admiration for the bloke's toughness there is absolutely no-one who has lost sight of the central point – that he is a murderous lunatic.

Where would I have to go to find people who reckoned he was a Robin Hood for our times?

The cynic in me wonders if the police's statement that Moat has theatened the wider public (but won't say what he said) Is simply spin/a big lie designed to instill fear & counter empathy among people who see him as some sort of flawed establish-bashing hero.

Why would he do a 180 on his "the public need not fear me" line? I mean he's in enough trouble 🙄

    I fink he's grate

I'm leaving scraps of food out in case he comes our way and, you know what ? – yeh, every morning they're gone

haven't found a phone or owt yet, but he's been doing funny little poos on the patio

I love the "knowing" comments from all the "ex SAS/SBS" members of STW…

I'm not ex SAS, but I do know a few blokes who are still serving there and in Poole for that matter. However, I have soldiered at a pretty well respected level.
See Matt, some of us actually haven't always lived comfortable, priviliged lives with the luck of being put into business and bought nice cars by our parents.

    Lol at Yates Wine Lodge…

I mean, this exchange is bonkers (to me). It can only possibly come from people whose idea of what goes on in the world is totally different to mine, either because they do radically different things or have completely different lives. I find "the police" as a mass slightly baffling, but individual officers perfectly pleasant. What must your life/mind be like that given the choice you plump for the explanation of events provided by the man who just got out of prison, got hold of a gun and shot three people before disappearing into the hills sporting a mohican?

All u pigs monitoring this and other pages, GO **** YOURSELVES U SCUM BASTARDS! Ur all scum of the earth and deserve to die. U abuse ur power and bully people and live to destroy their lives but when the person has enough and fights back, u don't like it! Raoul wanted to get on with his life but u wouldn't let him, u triggered this, for every action comes a reaction! u ****ing bullied him, he shot ane of the bullies! GOOD!

You hit the nail on the head their mate, i cant believe the amount of people just takin the pure piss!

Yeah i know mate, mad aint it, yet when a little kid gets abused they do **** all! Y cant they understand that if u bully someone u get what u deserve? they think just cos their pigs they can take the piss, scum!

    Chuckling at scaredypants. 🙂

I'm afraid I'm a bit sceptical about the "wider public" thing too. I can't help thinking the flank they're covering though is the criticism that they wouldn't put this much effort into hunting someone who was only interested in killing people who weren't policemen. I hope we're being very uncharitable and they aren't just winding up the good people of Rothbury. 🙂

Jesus that Facebook group is a bit scary!

I wonder at what point publicly cheering on a murderer becomes "Incitement to violence"?

in some of the later pictures he has the same looks as soap mc tavish from mw2 :O

I have a wee bit experience doing tactical exercise with army, who ever said the sas are only for war and homeland security surely this falls under the later?

Its been so tempting to phone the fuzz and say

'fly me up there, give me a unit of sas, a police spotter helicopter and 26 packets of wine gums and he'll be yours in 48 hours, dead or alive'

fourcrossjohn – leisure attendant and student?? what experience will you bring into the situation? set up a badminton net to catch him?

you should make the phone call, I'm sure they're crying out for people with your level of ability

that comment was obviously a joke when i mentioned the wine gums…

I have done tactical ex with the princes of wales royal regiment whilst doing my army proficiency certificate 3* on Salisbury plain westdown camp and castle martin training ground in Pembroke.

I have my 100 2nd class shot on the sa80 and the same on a clay pigeon range. How ever like every one else who is not specifically trained in search and tracking I would not have the foggiest of where he is going or gone.

But a chinooke filled to the brim with sas landing and doing patrols with door gunners and a few police spotter planes and choppers would move things on nicley.

Sorry to ask, but was this ^^ a cadet thing?

This guy is one step ahead, i see they have found his phones, he knows they are homing beacons to people who have the right kit so he may have left them sometime ago. I figure this will end messy but you can be sure the net is closing in, he cannot wander far he will stand out like bull dogs gonads when he comes out of the woods so his options are limited.

I suspect the Military are involved 😉

yes back hander it was a cadet 'thing'

Ah. I wondered what the **** an army proficiency certificate was.
I've never worked with PWRR but did once partake in a mass brawl with them in weymouth once. Happy days.
And, as said earlier this does not require SF. Any regular army unit with a wagtail team could find this bloke I reckon.

Get yourself up there man – they are crying out for experienced personnel like you. You can give them a quick rub down with a damp flannel when they come back all sweaty from the search. You're used to living under bridges by streams, aren't you, so you are the ideal man for the job?

So they are now look ing at Cragside House and Gardens for him. On the National Trust website is says attractions at Cragside include

.. in the formal garden, is the Orchard House, which still produces fresh fruit. The lakeside walks, adventure play area and labyrinth are all good..

Bloody perfect hiding place. Fresh food, adventure playground and a labyrinth to hide in. He will be there for years!!!
