So still no one has offered up their thoughts on the fact that a sniper may spot him! Will they be authorised to drop him there and then or will a challenge have to be given first. Probably dealt by that new lad who's just started. I can't honestly see it myself, it's got police complaints written all over that scenario, oh and they're already busy with the first enquiry as to why they did knob all on his release!!

My Mother just called to tell me to lock my doors and windows as I'm not too far from his last whereabouts.

Why send in the good guys with loaded weapons, fake guns and wasters would waste all his ammo, draw him out to a known where abouts and administer a well executed cull of mongs.

I wonder if the police have thought to use a non noisy method to survey the area for a heat sig, like a hand glider or trained pigeon..

I think it's right that they they have to believe there is an immediate threat to someone. A possible future threat from someone if they get away won't do. The law applies to police officers as it does to anyone else. So the weapons are there to ensure they can protect themselves and one another, not to "take him down".

Surely this is an invitation to some of the special forces.

Walk into the mess hall or whatever SAS guys hang out. Tell em there is a £50k reward to the first guy to locate, capture or kill this guy. Call it a training exercise with live ammo.

What can go wrong? Guys who are trained to do this go in. They get some proper practise. We get this know caught/killed for a fraction of the overtime costs so far.

Guns are hard to come by in this country and this is why we have a very low rate of gun murders. Go to the states where guns are easy to get and they have loads of gun murders

Recon are a bunch of wookie douche campers. The bloke's got a couple of shotguns, plod have assault kit with 4x scopes, it's only going to end one way.
