I have an Orange Sub 3 which has a very low bottom bracket and a modest amount of travel. It's currently fitted with a pair of TALAS forks which feel give the bike very vague steering when wound out to their full extension.

What would happen if I put a slightly longer lengthed shock on the frame? There looks like there is space between the swing arm and seat tube for a slightly longer shock.

Anyone tried this with a Sub 3 or any other single pivot design frame?

The bb height would raise and the head angle would steepen up as you probably already know.

What length are the talas forks? Perhaps the frame isnt designed for long forks

Fitting a longer shock would probably be fine (depending how much longer), make sure you keep the stroke the same though.

Sounds like you are trying to turn the bike into something it isn't. I went through this same thing with my Titus last year and ended up buying a new bike
