i’m pretty much 99.999% committed to getting a Planet X London Road frame/fork set… seem good value at £250 for frame fork headset seatpost etc (this to be exact).

just wondered if there were any other options out there that i’m missing out on?

i have all the rest of the parts already, except some sram 2×11 hydro shifters and calipers (should anyone have some they want rid of?)

😯 – looks grim to me and they use the word “spunk” in their advertising.

Biased though, I bought a vomit green London road.

For £250 the PX has to be good value surely?

Not keen on the colour but that’s a personal thing.

Here’s a brace of them in Brittany this week. Mix of road & gravel tracks, loaded with luggage (for me) or lightweight (my wife), 650b & 700c wheels, just take whatever is thrown at them.

If your into PX / On One then check the Bish Bash Bosh.
    Love everything about mine.
Full guard and rack mounts. Bolt through, internal cables, light (if you replace the stock wheels).
I use mine for road, commute and smashing the gravel and bridleways.
    Excellent bike.

I wouldn’t get a London Rd. It was the noisiest most creaky bike I have ever owned and the quality of finish was poor. Sold it in the end.

Picked up a LT frame set for my wife. It’s pretty good for the money. Not the lightest, but then it’s alloy so can have everything.

Sonder Camino and Arkose are both good value and well-proven options. I’ve been using a 2012 Arkose frame for a few years now, and it’s been very versatile and still going strong. From commuting, to going up L’Alpe d’Huez, to doing some touring, and road riding every week. Don’t know if PX have sorted the quality issues, but that would be a concern for me with the London Road.

no you don’t. Not unless you have a stockpile of seatposts of different sizes, and a few shims…
