The thing with the current TCRs is that there’s a big step between the “advanced” models whcih have a decent frame but an alu fork steerer and the “advanced pro” models with carbon steerer. Let alone the SLs.

OK it’s not a huge weight difference, but you can’t easily upgrade it and it’ll always be there, gnawing at you.

FWIW I have two bikes with 6700 and both have managed several thousand miles with no major trauma.
