Off road near Mevagissey?

Recent trips to the west country have provided a wealth of really rocky roads which put some Surrey bridleways to shame.
We are staying at Pentewan does anyone have some off road routes I can pinch?

A late bump. Off next week shall I take gravel or full sus?

What do you like to ride? Pentewan is close to Woody’s bike park, Cardinham & Lanhydrock.

Slightly further afield is Grogley, Bishops & Hustyns.

Or take the gravel bike & razz around the Cornish alps.

Will be cycling from my door.

I’ve seen a video with some interesting bits in the woods in Pentewan but how much there is I don’t k now.

Tons of leisure riding so wondering if to just ride and listen to choons.

If going from your door – gravel bike & exploring is probably the best way to go.

Anyone know if this is easy to find when I get to Gover?

We stayed in Pentewan last year. There is a small bike hire place at the start of the gravel road, they sell maps of the Clay Trails, there is a whole network of trails that can take you from the south coast to the north. They are not the most challenging trails in the world, I rode them on my gravel bike rather than MTB but plenty of options and you can get around avoiding the traffic.

Bike parking at Eden Project wasn’t great considering how green it is supposed to be. Lost Gardens of Helligan is good, accessed completely off road from Pentewan.
