Notice – STW any issues ?

I get two different versions of the login page.

One version has the “keep me logged in” box ticked by default, it’s a blueish colour. This version always says my password is wrong.

The other version has the “keep me logged in” box unticked, grey colour. This one works fine.

I generally restart the browser if I get the wrong one and then it’s ok, haven’t actually tried the force-refresh here, will next time and report back if it happens again.

Women’s forum is broken. Apparently Hannah is shocked.

Also having the issue not be able to post in classifieds as it thinks I’m not logged in, reset password but made no difference.

In the past you could put a comment below someone’s listing, has this option now gone or can I not see it as it thinks I’m not logged in ?

Private messaging seems to work OK

Not an issue, but a thank you for apparently turning the RSS feed for front page articles back on after it’s been off for 5 years.

I was able to send a message but when i scroll down to see his response, i am unable to type anything. It says i have reached the maximum number of messages that I’m allowed to send. Never seen this happen.

Still seeing myself as a Free Member. Is there any update on fixing the account issues? My “silly” thread that I was using to check my account status was closed by a moderator with the instruction to post here, so I’m posting here again. Not had any reply to emails regarding the situation (as per the situation with my previous account that was screwed up), so would like an update please.

2 issues in messages (via your profile icon).

1. On a mobile device the layout is screwed up which makes it very difficult to read and reply to messages.

2. The links to view conversations other than the most recent do not work (the links in the list of users on the left).

on the classifieds page I’m asked to log in every 10 seconds now with a pop up box which then turns into the whole page. Like with my inability to post on the classifieds section I AM BLOODY LOGGED IN!

I knew that on each forum section that it was down to just 3 pages, now on iOS it’s down to just one page.

Sending PMs a messy business, did eventually get one sent but messy and proved awkward to type out the message.

A little while ago, I started a thread about only being able to see the first two number boxes at the top and bottom that would allow me to quickly skip back to older pages of topics.

Well now there’s nothing at all! I can only see the first page of 1 – 82, and that’s all. Once a topic drops below that and goes to page 2, I can’t find it. I can’t often remember the specific topic, so trying to do a search is difficult, and shouldn’t be necessary.
I can see the numbered boxes with the back arrow, 1-12 at the bottom of this page, but why can’t I do the same on page 1 of the Chat Forum.

Then there’s the emojis, they’ve vanished from the bottom of the page, I can’t use the ones available on my iPad keyboard, they just show as seemingly random punctuation marks.

On the up and overwhelmingly positive side, no Microsoft BSOD!

I hadn’t even realised that was a problem. Still, after quite a while I have magically become a full member again so I guess the to-do list is slowly being ticked

I still can’t create new classified ads or today can’t create new forum topics (could yesterday).  Classifieds says I’m not logged in, Forum just says I can’t.

Can reply in Forum … obvs.

Can’t post photos in forum threads any more.

It displays a tiny photo icon but doesn’t actually work if you click it.

(Previously the actual photo image would appear rather than a (broken) link.)

the like facility seems to have disappeared. As has uploading photos to a thread from your device.

does anyone know if these features are coming back? Or have they disappeared for good?

Photo posting function not worked since the big switch. I can select from photo library but it doesn’t turn it into a photo. IPad and IPhone running latest updates…

Posting photos directly from phone is not working, hasn’t worked for a couple of weeks now. iPhone 15Pro on iOS 17.5.1. Was working flawlessly until recently.

edit: I just get this below (name of photo, in this case, “frozen sausages”)

I assume that the lethargic performance is a known issue, the reason is understood and a fix is imminent?

When sending a message in Classifieds the X dismiss button does not dismiss the message window. Win10/Brave browser. Same in Win10/Chrome.

(Might be also an idea to give a hint that when you’re not logged in there’s no message icon in the ad – thought for a minute message didn’t work at all with Chrome when I fired it up to check if it had the above bug too.)

Don’t know if this is a migration related issue or if it’s been borked for a while, but the GPX downloads in Classic Rides are broken. And I don’t want to pay Komoot for the regions, so that isn’t an option.

In fact Classic Rides in general are in a bit of a state – broken links, missing images, formatting issues.

Photo uploader still not working for full members. Or emoji’s. See top of this page on the watches megathread. Chrome on Android, never had a problem with this before.

Not new but never fixed – Ads take up most of the screen, ad close button doesn’t work until pressed several times. And then you’ve unintentionally clicked on whatever was underneath or nearby. Hitting the Back button starts the whole thing over. And all of this is in slow motion, it is definitely the slowest website of all sites I have ever used.

Password reset link seems to be broken – got locked out on my desktop, can’t change password. Still logged in on phone until cookies expire but then…

Very slow on laptop and a wee bit of a delay on my mobile. Laptop on a reasonably fast connection, mobile on Vodafone 4g data connection.
Before this week, it was very quick, now it is very not quick.

I seem to now be getting notifications for threads I have commented on. Didn’t happen before.

My Messages don’t work.

It’s stuck on the last message I received and I can’t click on any previous messages I’ve had or reply to anyone else.
