So pretty much as I described it but better informed.

Was hoping for better news but it is what it is.

@mtnboarder what’s this about some people being blocked from commenting on Dimbins posts? ?

Some of the TTAG group tried to respond but weren’t able to..

It does seem like another salary justification exercise and heavily biased towards official bodies, but I see they are advertising for a rider representative in the new year (Fancy the job?). With a bit (lot) more rider and user input it could potentially be a good thing. Its just very suspicious timing given that a business and rider group has been established this year to lobby for trail improvements and communication.

Dimbins appear to have jumped on this idea (they were approached and offered the chance to be involved many months ago) and taken it for themselves, but shifted the stakeholders away from local business and trail users and towards the many overlapping quangos involved.

I do love a questionnaire with weighted questions.

I think the highlights for me are asking about most of the forests, then asking if you are aware the TVTA maintains ‘many’ trails within the valley. 9 trails in a single forest isn’t exactly many in that context.

Or the event questions which I’m guessing are aimed around gathering some figures for the potential SEA.

Or that there was no option to leave comments.

I think I’ll pop into the Retreat this weekend and see how much of a rant I can trigger from the proprietor 🙂
