Mortimer Forest and Bringewood

I’ll be up visiting friends in Leominster over the weekend and have a few hours spare to go exploring.

Looking at TrailForks and Strava, there’s trails around these places. I have a choice of 29er Ht or 160mm FS ‘nduro bike. What’s the area more suited to?

Also where’s best to park up.

All the trails are downhill, so 160mm travel bike would be my choice!

If you are riding the Mortimer trails, then Blackpool Carpark. There are enough trails on the Mortimer/Vinnals side for a day of riding! Not for Semi Slicks, 90’s DH, No Dabs and there are a load which start just below the common and end in the Blackpool carpark.

Used to ride around there all the time 25 years ago. Looks like some of what we rode is still in use but I can’t quite tell from the heatmap 🙂 Do you still have a trail called One-eye?
