Need some hiking /scrambling long pants for this spring/summer.

Never bought a specific pair of pants before, are the montane ones any good, see a few pairs on ebay or can some one recommend me an alternative, around £ 50 mark

    Cheers 🙂

I have some Mammut Base Jump pants. They're ace. Not superlight but very tough – use them in summer and winter. Not cheap, around £100 tho but they'll last I reckon

Dunno if they still do them, but I have a pair of Mountain Hardwear Pack pants that have been great over the last 10 years. Not crazy light but work very well.

I've had the Terra Zip-offs for years. Light weight, quick drying, hard-wearing. I love 'em

I have the Terra's they're very good, dry quite quick and very light. I also have the Mammut base jumps with the schoeller fabric, a bit too warm for the UK, but ideal for the Alps. If you're interested I have a green / black pair, used only a few times – medium – you can have them for £15.00
