A mate of mine gave me an “old lathe” that used to belong to his Grandfather (or something), “just a little one he says”. So I get it home, open the case, blow of the dust and what have we here?…Only a Bergeon Watchmakers lathe, boxed with every attachment and tool. Probably the deposit for a house!
It’s at the top of the page here: http://www.ofrei.com/page_205.html

I can’t seem to find any second hand values, but JeebusH.

Anyway I gave him a call and filled him in. I told him for a small fee I’d clean it up for him. Who needs friends?

Err, I know a guy (I ride with him) who we call ‘Neil the Watch’ 🙂
He, unsurprisingly, trades and repairs expensive watches (And I mean EXPENSIVE, not just £10,000 cheapies!) If you like I can put you in touch with him. Could be beneficial to both of you

Small fee = Beer, (not Boat) 🙂

Hey PP, talk to your man and find out if these are a tradable item.

Hooray for honest mates. That’s a seriously expensive piece of kit!

I’ve PMd him, and given him your email. Hope that’s OK

OK, I got a reply from Neil

Bit of a dying trade these days but i’m sure to someone in the business it could be worth something. A very specialist item though.

I’ll put the feelers out in the trade.

    Cheers
    Neil
PS. by all means pass on my details

Email me if you want his details
    🙂
