It took me a while to twig that these discounts were separate from the old Singletrack partner discounts.
Some of the bigger more cycling specific ones might be useful, but the chances of both it making something cheaper than you can buy elsewhere AND me remembering/being arsed seem slim.
The more general ones are a bit like my work ones. 3.8% off somewhere you were going to shop anyway is better than a slap in the face but having to buy vouchers is a PITA. I used to use them at Screwfix, which saved a fair amount when I was doing the kitchen, but man, what a ballache. You can’t use them online, so you had to write your order down and then go and relay it to the person at the till, who would invariably have to go and fetch someone else to work out how to put the code in. Turned a 2 minute into a 10 chore.
We used them at IKEA once too when we did the classic new-house big IKEA trip. We’d bought a lot of stuff, but ending up with surplus vouchers would defeat the point of the small discount, so we had to wait for them to scan it all at the checkout and then buy the vouchers, which you can only do in certain denominations (why can’t you just put an amount in? Because that would be too easy), and then relay all the 37 digit codes and PINs to the checkout person. All this AFTER being in IKEA for hours 😫
