Apparently the ambulance from Lancaster to Blackpool went all the way on footpaths

I’m guessing they wanted to avoid him spinning in his grave on the stretcher 🙂

Well done to the Bogtrotters, their actions further underscore the value of some proper first aid training.

And of course here’s hoping all turns out for the best for Simon and I look forward to some photos of nurse’s arses

For those asking about CPR and “what would I do”, there is a great free app for smartphones by St John’s Ambulance. Contains lots of scenarios you might encounter (including CPR) and has visual and audio information as what to do. If you own a smartphone and take it out riding than worth a look IMO.

You know what, it wouldn’t hurt to go on such a course. I might look into it.

A mate (40yrs old) had a heart attack a couple of months ago and has been getting on v well having had a stent put in. Excellent course of rehab and a couple of stones lighter.

    Healing vibes fella.

Earlier this year I attended a boggies ride after an absense of a year or 2, Simon gave me the biggest hug which says a lot about the guy he is.

Theres no one I respect more for putting time into his sport for the benefit of many over the years.

I hope we see him back on the trails and footpaths very soon

PS its been great to see the bogtrotters expertise and spirit pull everthing together at this time so well done all of you
