Everyone,
Now is your chance to make your mark in Kielder (and beyond), by suggesting names for sections of the new trails being built, as we speak, in Kielder forest.
What we need is any ideas, however off the wall, for any of the sections of the new blue graded trail, that heads up north and west away from the village, and the new red trails, that head down the lakeside, and loop back inland to the south and west, and across the border into Scotland, and connecting to Newcastleton and the 7 Stanes trails there.
Anyone who has ridden the Deadwater trail will have noticed the names voted in there are a mix of local features and history, as well as some bizarre, but strangely relevant song titles – but whatever you’d like to suggest – so don’t be shy, post it here!!
Then when we have the KTR AGM, on October the 4th, we will have a vote for names to be selected – and it could be yours – on the map forever!!
Important Note: these trails are still under construction, are not fit to be ridden yet – they are work sites, so please do not be tempted to explore them just yet. Details of the routes will be updated on the website, and keep watching here for opening dates etc….
