    It’s been a great weekend here (Berkshire/Oxfordshire).

Did a 40mile loop on my SS up onto the ridgeway trail via some cheeky singletrack, and home via the pub yesterday. twas great.

today was great weather too no riding though, family walk instead…

    All round a good weekend.

I’m waiting to see a proper downside to climate change…

Persuaded Jnr to get out for only his second decent ride of the year – took him for a steady 4 miles up the Tissington Trail from Ashbourne to Tissington in glorious autumn sunshine and stunning Peak scenery.

Then met up with the rest of the tribe and went to Dovedale with the hordes.

    Lovely day today

i stay often in that area visting partners folks, are there any maps / signed routes – i’ve found a PDF on the hills, but it doesnt give much away. would love to do some cross while i’m up here.

Not sure about maps. Trouble is the Pentlands is an area I know so well I never really think about it. However if you look for Harlaw Reservoir on a map and just head off on any of the trails from there you won’t go far wrong. Check out the woods next to the trails too. There’s often some tasty singletrack hidden away. There are trails and tracks everywhere up there, so you won’t have too many problems.

I woke up this morning and though today has to be a beach day so pack girls and kit into the car and off we go, leaving Mum at home for ultimate brownie points, spent a few hours larking about on the beach – brilliant.
