T2 is in no way better then Terminator. In fact they are 2 different genres.

Empire Strikes Back a better film? I know its popular to say so but really it wasn’t – having gone to the cinema to see Star Wars on the week it was released I can honestly say it was a game changer. ESB was just another good sci fi film. Looking at them side by side now is a different frame of reference.

An example of a better sequal than original would be The Good, The bad and the Ugly.

Lol – you’re right! However Terminator was in a genre of films I like and T2 was typical unoriginal US high budget blockbuster nonsense (bit like Independance Day)

That is going to make Pacific Rim and Jupiter Ascending look fantastic.

That Justin Lin guy just doesn’t know when to stop with trying to make the action ‘bigger’. It’s not interesting if there are apparently no limits to what can happen, it just becomes a cartoon then.

This is a film where Will Smith, one of the finest movie stars of his generation, punches an alien in the face then says BOTH “Welcome to earth!” and “Now that’s what I call a close encounter”.

How can you not like that?

Sorry to derail the threadjacking, but I find it hard to believe the aliens would choose to return on exactly the same day of the year.

I’m sure the rest of the film is totally realistic though, just like the original.

Whoever chose ‘sabotage’ for the soundtrack to that trailer deserves a medal

Apparently Mr Smith wanted A shed load of cash and his son in the movie (After Earth P2 anyone) The producers thankfully said no 🙂
