Very nice! Or at least, nicer than th Langster London. I do like Cinzano. 🙂

Surely, surely this trend must be dying the death soon. Mustn’t it? Mustn’t it?

Seen that before. I find it rather evil looking, and must disagree most vehemently with Mr Dummy.

Aren’t all these bikes imported Czech lagers and cheap vodka drunk in a rented flat in Hackney before going to a party at another rented flat in Streatham?

The fashion will go away when people discover that, no matter how simple their bike is, it still gets dirty and still needs to be serviced. When they’re all knackered, they’ll be on ebay.

I (still) don’t have a road fixed. It isn’t due to fashion (love or hate), but simple pecuniary, space and domestic tolerance limitations.

    Brakes might be useful

It’s got a shot of ketamine in it, too.
With those brakes it’ll end up under a taxi some late evening.

Its a fixed wheel, doesn’t ‘need’ brakes or so fashion dictates. I kinda like it, I wouldn’t buy it though.

If you see one in shop have a read of the care instructions attached to the leather seat.
Read them out load for the best effect;-)
I would wager that who translated them in to English doesn’t use English as their 1st language.

May i congratulate ourmaninthenorth on his use of the word pecuniary. Not one you hear every day so, chapeau!

Amusing, people that think fixed gear is a fad or a trend.

Hasn’t fixed gear been around longer than any other type of bicycle?

yeah, but it’s popularity has increased lots recently and will probably die away soon – therefore it’s a fad

it doesn’t have to be something completely new
    does it?

Yes but then we invented better ones.

People said that about singlespeeds on the GoFar (STW predesessor) website back in c1999 / 2000.

Far too much bar and far too much saddle. Its the minimalist thing that works for me.

got me thinking about what drinks my bikes would be

Klein – an islay single malt, harsh at first but ultimately rewarding

Alpine – Vodka Redbull, gives you wings but also a headache

SX – pint of lager, everyone drinks it but it’s refreshing and goes down fast

Edge – a german weissbier, bit heavier than it should be but does everything a common lager would only better

Merlin – a fine wine, a fine drink but unsuitable for heavy going stuff like curry/winter

Tricross – a pint of organic real ale that leaves froth on your beard

    No, but fixies are.

Isn’t it actually an alcopop – drunk by people who don’t actually like real drinks.
