certainly an amazing way of transferring cash from those that dint have much to those that do. Incredible really

how you spend your cash to have fun is your lookout. most of us here have a reasonably expensive hobby so glasshouses and all that. Price of going to a match still seems exorbitant compared to say cinema (and I believe the refreshments inside the ground make cinema prices look cheap).
Admittedly not that far off the price of a gig but I assume there’s not many go to a gig twice a week every week of the season.

I compared my salary with Wayne Rooney. I am fairly confident he couldn’t do my job and would get sacked quite quickly. But I may be wrong!

If, however, the majority of males in the country had been forced to try your job from an early age and then put through clubs and academies to weed out the weak and untalented and spent the most formative years of their lives training intensively with teams of experts from all over the world – how confident are you that you’d be the best at it?

    Ooof !

    Nice analogy 🙂

I never said I was the best at my job, just competent.I am sure there are some footballers who with a few years of training could do my job.

If you swapped jobs with Wayne Rooney, who do you think would get sacked first ?

Or, to think of it another way, with a year of training, who would be better at doing the other ones job ?

If you think you should be paid more change your job.

The saying “If it was easy everyone would do it” springs to mind.

This whole discussion reminds me of guys offshore complaining about how much the divers were getting paid. They are all volunteers and the training course is open to anyone who can get the cash together, which any of the offshore workers could of done. Well crack on then.

NUFC vs Everton for me, cracking game, one of the best I’ve seen there

There are a few in the Newcastle squad that I reckon I could swap with for a couple of months before anyone noticed. If the got sus the I reckon a quick thigh strain would keep the cash coming in

Celebrating a first win as Newcastle boss, v Hull on 31 January
