You lose a point thanks to the black pedals though…

Yeah I gave in a week or so later / orange F20s went on.

2016 S-Works Enduro here, so it’s already splashed in Monster Green, Graphite and Red. As a result, the seat collar, stem and brakes (all Hope) plus cranks, grips and spokes are all Model T Black…but every single bike that I’ve owned since 2004 has blue hubs, it’s a bit of a thing for me.

It would be very easy to end up with something that looks as though Liberace has sneezed on it.

I’ve got a set of orange V4’s in the garage just waiting for a grey or silver FS frame to hang them on. Will probably go for a few other orange bits, seat clamp, headset, BB and hubs but for some reason I don’t like coloured stems…

The problem is with hope bling you really have to think about the future. It always looks brilliant at first but it WILL fade and if you buy any bits at separate times they will fade at different rates and depending where the item is depends again how quickly it’ll fade. The most I do now is different coloured hubs and that’s it and even then I would highly resist it. Chris king colour last a LOT longer if I really wanted to do colour and having done the colour components now it would actually be the only way I would go.

Basically in short it’ll look great now but in 12 months time or more it won’t! If you can afford that time span and don’t mind looking at fade then go for it!

Ive gone full silver hope on a ‘limited addition’ green Solaris and really like the combo.

Never really liked OTT coloured bikes, fashions fade but style remains 😉

I expect to keep this bike for a good few years and When the anodising eventually rubs of my silver hope bits they will look,,,,,,, silver 😁

I’m on the silver or black side too I think. But who cares what everyone thinks!

Sure I saw a full red, gold and green Rasta theme once. In fairness it actually looked good, yeah if I had to pick bright I’m going red, gold and green, just like my dreams etc

When did hope start having a problem with fading?ive had loads of hope over the years and never had a problem. Have they changed the anodising process recently.

I have an all black Transition Smuggler with orange callipers and blue rotors, and some blue pinstripe bits on the bars (Chromag). I like it, but might not be for everyone.

    ta11pau1 wins it so far.

With the addition of a red seat collar it would be spot on.👍
