Well he seems like someone I wouldn’t buy a bike off. He must be a delight to work or live with.

Never heard of him but he sounds like a grade A ****. Shopping him to his employers sounds like a top plan.

There seems to be some beef between these two. Is Hambini right in his allegations of racism?

Despite the potty mouth and rants I quite like him (when he stays on topic). I hope for him he focuses on what he does best, BS free engineering.

Who – the descriptions above sum him up.
Why – there’s history there. She’s a Cycling Weekly journo so I don’t know if she said something he disagreed with or what but he basically stalks her online and makes staggeringly inappropriate comments about her.

As I understand it she complained to the police about a rather unpleasant comment on his weekly presentations when he decided to pull apart a cycling weekly article/video. They came round and interviewed him (or invited him to the station for a chat, not sure which). No charges were brought, not even sure it was registered as a non-crime crime. He has taken this personally and won’t let go.

He needs to let go, probably needs an intervention of a good friend.

If he’d worked in the Apollo program it would never have gotten beyond the planning stage.

He’d have called all his co-workers stupid c***s.

He’d have called all the subcontractors stupid c***s.

All the while spending years holding the entire program up whilst perfecting the hab modules “perfect sink and plug interface.”

Then, after those wasted years and millions of $$’s, he’d have called those fellow coworkers c***s again over their “incompetence” at not alerting him to zero/micro gravity in space.

His coworkers didn’t alert him, however, as they all think he is a c**t of the highest order and have been pissing in his coffee for years.

Yeah, as the OP I raised this because his comments disgusted me and I wanted to illustrate what a prick the man is. On reflection it’s probably not fair to have given his vindictive comments any further exposure particularly given their offensive nature.

If he works for Airbus I’m pretty sure that Michelle and her husband will be aware of that and if they choose to raise that with them (and I hope they do) then that’s their call, but they probably dont want this further splattered over Twitter, or indeed here.

With that in mind it may be best if the mods close this one down, or at least we start a new thread about how hambini is a disgusting pig without linking to or quoting the content of his post (I did that, and I probably shouldn’t have)

Either way further encouragement in the form of comments from “Incel” types just marks him out as attracting the wrong sort of following, the kind of people I generally don’t associate with cycling TBH.

He potentially had a good little side gig going, quietly knobble the odd offcut from work to flog as over priced artisanal BBs to dentists. I think the world would have tolerated his sweary, hyperbolic criticism of wonky frames on YT.
But singling out a female journalist working in a field that (IMO) rightly attracts more progressive thinkers and going so massively overboard is an indication that maybe he’s not the sort of person who should have a “public profile” for his own good if nothing else…

1 His day job is in military aerospace engineering. I’m sure you don’t get to carry on working in that industry if you are not competent.

2 His bike BB sideline is not about being a perfectionist, it’s about fixing broken/poorly made bikes so they don’t for example chew through BB bearings in 20km. Asking for a properly aligned BB should not be too much to ask on a £1K+ bike.

I’m not sure why you are making this point? Calling him an ‘incel’ is fine, but him making personal comments about someone else is not?

I don’t think he should get “a pass”  because of any disorder he may have. Having awareness of it means that you put coping mechanisms and strategies in place modify your behaviour. Like having someone to filter your social media presence for example. If you can’t tell if something you’ve written and intend to publish is possibly defamatory, then pass it through someone who can…after all his blog, YouTube channel and shop are inextricably linked.

Eh? I said that I had not read the associated comments, and when I had, I remarked that they too were unacceptable. I will no longer be watching his videos because of this.

Yes, this. He has reasons for behaving as he does.They may not be logical to us but he has reasons.
I don’t know what the reason for casually throwing insults like Incel around are. I’m as guilty as anyone of stuff like that but I’m trying not to be. We drop ourselves to his level when we do it without the ‘excuse’ of personality disorder.

You are maybe right, there’s an assumption often made that angry misogynists on the interweb are all “incel” and only adopt this mindset because they live in a bit of a toxic gender politics bubble whilst not being able to persuade their preferred gender to engage in sex with them…
