Ive just been out for a run and my Garmin GPS hasn’t recorded the route correctly for the first mile or so ie a straight line from A-B the next 4 miles are fine.

I’m sure some one on here not long back said there is some software you can use to fix GPS routes.

I’ve tried to find it but failed

    Anyone know what it is?

You can fix it in Garmin Basecamp ( a free download for Garmin users)

I’ve just tried it, but its only a very basic map, I need some form of Satellite view as most of the run was off road.

I think there’s a way to create routes in Google maps? If you can create the missing part there or anywhere, you can use GPS Babel (free download) to convert it to .gpx, convert your recorded route to .gpx, and merge them in Notepad – the gpx format is pretty obvious to understand. Then convert the gpx back to whatever you need.

Plotaroute.com might do it? I only discovered it the other day but is handy for planning routes and you can upload existing routes directly from you Garmin to modify.
