Damn, if she’d have gone that’d have been huge, still, massive swing

Greening holds putney but majority cut by c90%.

Some dissembling by some contributors comparing tonight’s posts to their earlier ones. Benefit of hindsight? 😉

I have seen some odd political results in my time as a political geek but this is looking huge. Exit poll looks about right. No tory majority looks probable. I never expected that.

If you mobilise the young exit polls become more accurate as they are not postal etc. It’s also a little uncharted, if Labour is going with Brexit the UKIP to Lab makes a lot of sense.

    JV explained it well enough.

The closer to 6 the seat, the more marginal it is. So as the hand swings one way or the other, the marginal seats become more likely to go the other side of the hand.

“low hanging fruit” lost by 8000 votes 😯

If JC is PM he should seek to lower the voting age to 16. And ban those over 65 from voting.

Lab hold tynemouth with increased maj; tory vote down in one of their target seats.
Some suggestion that 314 could be ceiling for tories.
Any minority/coalition gov will be subject to massive influence (trade offs, concessions etc) from minority partners to pass legislation.
    What a totally avoidable mess.
Johnson now ‘on manoeuvres’; the lunatics are about to take charge of the asylum.

I’m just disappointed I didn’t have the courage to put my money on it – had been toying all week with a bet on NOM.

Despite the lesser profile of Nigel Farage in recent weeks, it hasn’t lessened my desire to want to punch him in the face whenever i see him.

“If we do get a Corbyn coalition then Brexit is in some trouble” – as much as I dislike him, you can’t deny that Farage has his finger on the pulse. The only downside is that it appears we’ll get him back, but I’ll take that – if we can pull back from Brexit, then I reckon the movement has lost all momentum whatever Nige does.

It’s also interesting to hear the apparent regard NF has for JC.

Actually looks like the exit poll is wrong in favour of the tories. I’m seriously beginning to think Corbyn might be PM tomorrow!

In the spirit of getting Jamba to eat some humble pie, I thought Corbyn’s stance on brexit was lunacy. I think I’ve been completely proven wrong, and I’m quite happy to admit it.

Where’s Binners with his <100 seats prediction? 😀

Two factors IMO – 1) Davidson is a decent leader and distanced herself from westminster altho was clearly reined in and 2)she made such a big ploy of anti another referendum that she has gathered unionist votes around her. However both ploys have their limits. I still expect them to get under 30% of the vote compoared to over 40 for the SNP

SNP will still have a majority of scots seats and the largest share of the vote – it was the last election that was an crazy result with 95% of the seats
