I’m looking to build a reasonably priced set of 26″ wheels for skatepark and dirt jumping. I keep seeing DT Swiss 533d rims around. They are considerably cheaper than the likes of Halo and Spank, plus the description seems to fit what I’m looking for.

Are they any good? Or a bit too cheap?

I used one the rear of my old 26 ht last year when the stans arch died. My son uses that bike every day for uni so it’s not exactly being tested to destruction but it’s still round and true and holding air.

I had a pair come through last week and they appear to be really similar to the E532 enduro rim but narrower. Not particularly light but seem pretty burley. I’m sure would do nicely as a dirt jumper.

That’s what I wanted to hear. Thanks everyone!

I bought one a couple of years ago to try building a front wheel. It seems to of gone well as it’s still round. It is only been used for commuting/gravel.

It an older generation pinned eyeleted rim. New to the catalogue in 2014.
    22mm inner.
Nothing wrong with it though as a budget option. I’d prefer welded joints but it’s a pricepoint rim.
