Does anybody know bearings this roval hub takes?

Its an unbranded (but presume Roval) hub on a set of roval wheels that came on a 2015 Stumpjumper 29 FSR Comp.

I’ve been around in circles on google trying to find them but having no joy. The rear is very notchy at the moment and I need to sell the wheels so want to rebuild it ready for sale.

Its the basic/entry level Roval hub prob made by one of the big Taiwan hub manufactures like Novtech or Formula

Remove the bearing from the hub and on the bearing’s rubber seal you will see a code like  RS6802 for example (RS means Rubber Seal)

You can then search for this on Google or just take it to your local bearing supplier (Google is your friend again) and they will have them in stock most of the time

Specialised UK should be able to help you.  They have generally been helpful with me.

I think it’s 61903, but do what other people have said and either go to Specialized or a dealer, or take the hub apart and see what they are. You might be able to just take off the non drive side nut/locknut and see what’s there depending where the bearing “label” is.

As a bit of advice, I’d recommend that you consider buying a cheap micrometer for measuring bearings. Mine was < £10 from Aldi and while it’s not NASA-grade, it’s plenty good enough for measuring bearings, handlebars, seatposts etc and is a very handy tool. Bearings are often battered and rusty when removed and often illegible, so measuring is the only guaranteed way to get the replacements correct.

I would just remove and check.

Daern’s advice is spot on about a cheap vernier, also helps as some manufacturers fit standard seals to unusual bearings, eg Fulcrum front 6903 (17x30x7) seals in a 18307 (18x30x7) bearing often causes some confusion

Cheers all, I’ve got a vernier in the box at home so will just bash the bearings out and have a look. Was just hoping to pull them out and put them back the same day as I don’t get much maintenance time unfortunately – hence my new bike mostly sitting in the box still after a few weeks of owning it all!

As luck would have it I’ve got a set of 6903 bearings in the shed from when I had an old Enduro, so will do the bearings later, happy days.

I have same hubs on rear. Anyone tell me how to remove bearings on these please?

Using cone spanner’s, undo the caps on the disc side, pull the axle out, the freehub will come with it (pull from freehub side obviously) knock the bearings out (x2) with a drift, press new ones in, replace axle and nip up nuts on disc side again.

it took me about 10 mins, and 2 of that was finding my cone spanner’s!
