At about 35 quid each they seem like a bargain, has anyone any experience?

they’ll be ace, but it looks like they’ve only got left hand levers with a short hose.

    (a front brake if you’re a left=front braker)

which is a shame, cos that’s really very cheap.

Could you not just swap the hoses over like loads did on here with the XT brakes from Rose?

Going to pull the trigger I think, anyone used them before? Shimano brakes are usually pretty good, aren’t they? I assume the tech just trickles down over the years to the lower end stuff.

The old ones got good reviews.

They’ve now got the servowave operation of the higher models, so would have thought the only downside is a bit more weight.

    Do it!! 🙂

I changed from 595 to 596 on my singlespeed commuter. The callipers are the same but they feel quite a lot more powerful. I reckon this is down to the new narrow diameter hoses they use. Lever length is bang on for single finger braking. I like them a lot.
