Here’s the before – him saying straight to camera he was innocent and that he’d convince a jury of that.

still, if you’re prepared to bully your wife into taking the points whilst simulataneously cheating on her then lying like that is probably second nature.

He won’t get time. as an upstanding member of society, with no previous convictions, etc he’ll get a suspended sentence or something. Basically a slap on the wrists.

Interesting case. Lots of people pull the ‘points on the wifes license’ trick without realising what a grave crime it might be for both of them if they get caught out. And because they don’t realise that – they tend to blab about it quite a bit and don’t realise quite how much their story will get re-told.

I wonder how many people are out there now are trying to figure out who they told what to (or what forums they’ve posted it on)

A politician not being entirely honest? Sweet Jesus!! Are you sure? Its the end of civilisation as we know it.

    *faints*

In other news, an Estate Agent was recently accused to a not entirely honest use of the phrase ‘highly desirable’

Sentencing guidelines are 4-36 months, no alternatives mentioned.

    no alternatives mentioned.

    🙂

especially if it can be shown he bullied his wiofe and therefore an innocent person was also affected.

and i thought my divorce was bitter

Given his position and constant denials I would expect an exemplary sentence to made

I guess he will get less than a rioter who steals some water

Oops – didn’t his ex-wife have one of her big parties over the weekend. Shades of Archer’s final flings before a stretch?

Assuming you find rape an amusing topic, then yes, your sense of humour has indeed failed you.

    Well…

BBC legal affairs correspondent Clive Coleman said it was a serious offence which was invariably punished by a prison sentence – usually about six months to a year in this kind of case.

Do you think he’ll want to be ‘mummy’ or ‘daddy’?

Oh, how incredibly original, shocking and hilarious. ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Hang on a minute. You’re making a lot of assumptions here. Who said we’re talking about rape? That quite a leap from my original comment

All I was saying was that – when 2 men are forced into a situation, even if initially not the one of their own choosing, where they spend quality time together, can lead to a tender and beautiful relationship developing, quite naturally over time. And this might then involve intimacy. Which, due to certain physical restrictions, involves choices.

    Hence my question

I reiterate – do you guys find the recent cases of gang-rape in India just as amusing?

Well I’d bum him if we shared a cell. He’s a handsome man and I’d imagine the nights are long. And no, he wouldn’t have a choice. 🙂

Sorry zokes, you made it too easy.

Interesting to think where we’d be if he’d beaten Clegg to the leadership of the Puppet Show.
I think he’d have been a lot stronger.
And we wouldn’t have a coalition.

Try to make fewer feeble ‘witty’ remarks about rape, and you’d be surprised just how much humour can be had.

I wonder what the trigger was for the change in plea?

Eitherway it should mean a jail term but I wonder if he will still draw his MP’s salary from gaol….

You’re right. My apoligies. The winter nights have been long of late, and I’ve far-too-easily resorted to flippant remarks about homosexual deviancy with less than willing participants. Sorry. 😳

Do you want to hear some catholic choirboy jokes? They’re funny. You’ll like ’em

Meanwhile somebody appears to be trying very hard to get banned.

Resigned as an MP so shouldn’t get any ‘wages’ whilst inside

Reckon he’ll get up to 12 months, but will serve just under half of that in a soft open prison

As you’ll answer it, take heed
This Slave commit no Violence upon
Himself. I’ve been deceiv’d. The Publick Safety
Requires he should be more confin’d; and none,
No not the Princes self, permitted to
Confer with him. I’ll quit you to the King.
Vile and ingrate! too late thou shalt repent
The base Injustice thou hast done my Love:
Yes, thou shalt know, spite of thy past Distress,
    And all those Ills which thou so long hast mourn’d;
Heav’n has no Rage, like Love to Hatred turn’d,
Nor Hell a Fury, like a Woman scorn’d.

As I understand it, wasn’t it her who kicked the whole thing off by grassing him up to try and get back at him for dumping her?

Revenge is a dish best served cold – not as good when its you standing in the dock trying to prevent being sent down as well 😈

I think its worth taking a moment to think about the good people of Eastleigh – cast your mind back to plastic bags, tights and oranges and think how they really know how to pick an MP 😀
