Ok – so my brakes have gone a bit spongy so I thought its about time I bled them – never touched them in 18 months. I don’t want to shell out for the full shimano bleed kit.

Whats the best way to do it and where’s a good place to get the replacement mineral oil?

Oh- and whilst doing it I’d like to shorten the front hose – are there any replacement olives or something that are not reuseable from the cut off bit?

    Thanks

Not meant as a slight but I miss the search function. I wrote a ‘how to’ in response to a similar thread recently, if you search back through my posts (click on member next to my name and it will show you my recent thread contributions) among the junk you’ll find a relevant one – week or two ago?

actually – ignore that – history doesn’t go back as far as i thought.

I’ll dig it out again later and post a link.

Just reread them and they aren’t bad actually, apart from one point – before closing the resrevoir off don’t forget to close the bleed nipple!

Obvious, but without this point the instruction is incomplete!!!!

Just download the instructions from the shimano website? I built mine from kit form and had to bleed without the kit – POP.
