    [disclaimer] Yes, I know it’s all crap[/disclaimer]

Clear about what star sign  you were born under…think again. Apparently I’ve been Aquarius all this time…

Capricorn: January 20th to February 16th
Aquarius: February 16th to March 11th
Pisces: March 11th to April 18th
Aries: April 18th to May 13th
Taurus: May 13th to June 21st
Gemini: June 21st to July 20th
    CancerJuly 20th to August 10th
Leo: August 10th to September 16th
Virgo: September 16th to October 30th
Libra: October 30th to November 23rd
Scorpio: November 23rd to November 29th
Ophiuchus*: November 29th to December 17th
Sagittarius: December 17th to January 20th

    *what/who now?

Eh? So I’m now a Capricorn? No wonder my life/personality/future/erm… has changed so much lately!

Wtf?  So about 30% of us have changed sign due to the changed dates…. clearly that’s why my forecast never seemed right!

Perhaps the last person to know that cares about that kind of stuff…I’ve no idea how many there were before they added another to increase marketing potential.

I feel sorry for the people who were born on the end/start dates as it isn’t clear which one they are!

Those dates don’t make sense – what about folk born on Nov 23 or Jan 20 – what side of the line do they fall?

The whole thing’s a cosmological game of Mornington Crescent, a load of people shouting nonsense and making up rules as they go.

So this is no different to adding Crossrail and a few LTN’s in Hackney making it a little more difficult to win.

    How many were there before?

Edit – Wikipedia says you’re talking bollocks anyway, there are 12

Is the new one for people who don’t identify as one of the others?

How very dare you suggest such a thing.  Mornington Crescent is a serious game and a sacred British institution.

Mysticmeggery is of course absolute bollox.

Comparing the two is beyond the pale and I’d be surprised if the ban hammer isn’t wielded forthwith.

I was born on the cusp of Leo and Capricorn. I’m a Leprechaun!

It seems I’m a Piscean now. Apparently I’m a visionary fish, I used to be a flying ram.

Except it’s less laden with middle class smuggery and is funnier.

I used to be a visionary fish, now I’m an eccentric water carrier. I don’t think I’m winning at Zodiac if I’m being honest

    At last I understand..

Personality: capricious, hesitant, calm, thoughtful, cold-blooded

Ophiuchus represents the courage and perseverance of fighting against death and people under the Ophiuchus sign can hardly be defeated. Being loyal and steady, they have a strict standard on the good and the evil. In addition, Ophiuchus people have their own ideal and goal and always stride forward to challenges with the strong motivation.

    See you on the battlefield.💋

If you see somebody looking upset in a doctor’s or hospital waiting room there’s nothing more hilarious than asking “Cancer?” and when they nod, pointing to yourself and with a smile exclaim “Gemini!”.

Well as you were. Wikipedia says “The constellations of the zodiac have only a loose association with the signs of the zodiac, and do not in general coincide with them”. So whilst Ophiuchus is a constellation it is not a sign of the Zodiac.

So I can put down that snake and reclaim my bow.

I was a virgin but now am a lion. Seems quite a dramatic change considering no one told me.

I think Nasa did it just annoy folk who love a horoscope.

I was a Scorpio but now that sign only lasts a week 😔

I remember Alchemy Gothic doing this decades ago. They wedged it in as like four days in November or something, rather than changing everything else around.

    What , who, is Opiuchus?

Out of interest, does anyone here actually believe in horoscopes? Or know anyone who does? So far as I know (in that I’ve not actually quizzed them all) no one I know does.  In that they’ve either never mentioned it at all* or have said they think it’s abject bollocks.

*overheard conversations suggest people who believe do mention it quite a bit.  Especially when meeting others for the first time in a ‘what star sign are you’ kind of way.

    “What star sign are you?”

    “Oh, Ophiucus.”

    “Ophiucus? That’s not real!”

“None of them are real Susan”

Still i’ve got to admit I feel slightly miffed to have been moved out of Libra and into Virgo, like some sort of cosmic refugee.

Some sort of ancient serpent god I think. I’d have to google it.

Ophiuchus (/ˌɒfiˈjuːkəs/) is a large constellation straddling the celestial equator. Its name comes from the Ancient Greek ὀφιοῦχος (ophioûkhos), meaning “serpent-bearer”, and it is commonly represented as a man grasping a snake.

I know a few people who might be well served by that constellation…

    I don’t.
But that’s because I’m a Gemini and we’re natural cynical.

It seems the onanists have a star sign. In other news I’ve changed from being Pat Sharp to being a bull.

(I just block quoted successfully for the first time. Maybe Septic Peg helped me.)
