    As above, what would be the effect of fitting a shock 10mm shorter than recommended but with same stroke length?

    Slacken the HA a bit and drop the BB?

    slacker head and seat tube angle, lower bb. Back wheel might touch frame on full compression. My wifes old Ellsworth ID has that very mod, but that was a factory mod.

    Possibly give you clearance issues at full travel, it’s at least worth checking for.
