It made me laugh as well. I guess they've a list of over the counter products that contain banned substances, and he picked the wrong one to use as an excuse. 😆 Shame he's crouched in that picture, can't see what the results were.

Im guessing its Regaine. I bet it has some ingredients that if you take in large quantities mimics the effects of banned substances?

There were always unproven rumours about this guy. Maybe they were only looking for things that made him run faster ?

He added: "Thanks to his selfish actions, he has done damage to our efforts to fight the plague of performance-enhancing drugs in our sport."

this brings to mind the illegality of my recent present, a Leatherman-type tool with locking blades. In the pursuit of possibly unfeasible goals, perfectly innocent use is criminalised (or at least penalised as in this case). It wasn't selfishness, it was carelessness, and if the poor guy needed help getting a stiffy why shouldn't he have taken a legal stimulant?

…why shouldn't he have taken a legal stimulant?

    or bought a Jazz Mag.

If he was using the product to rectify a hydraulic failure then he is innocent. But if he was using it to gain a few extra inches to be used to his advantage in the event of a photo finish then it is a different matter. Also, I should imagine that the latter would adversely affect his performance in the event of a strong cross wind.

Perhaps wearing very long but aerodynamic shoes would be a better option.
