To be fair, I think the photography and setup helps. The component choice, finishing on the frame, the lighting and post processing and the saddle position are so much better on the Jeht photo than the rocket. Take away the big battery on the rocket, and that photo still wouldn't scream 'want' to me. Something about that rocket photo makes it look like a kids bit to me.
I very much 'get' the Cotic brand concept and I really would like one or two of them in my shed. But sadly they are beyond my means. They probably weren't once, but my personal finances are not what they once were, cost of living combined with an increased cost of making a bike like that means even if I was in a position to replace what I have I'd be hard pressed to afford one.

Yet I'm trying to sell a 2024 Jeht for £1000, but had no interest. I think if you can afford £1000+, you can also afford a £3k one, even it involves a loan. I'm similar, in that I'd rather pay a bit more for new, than go for secondhand at half price, as you know the new one will be (near) perfect. (though mine is a bargain in good condition!)
It's funny to read all the comments (here and pinkbike) with people saying how nice this looks and compare them to what people said about the Rocket ebike. Since in the photos of the Jeht with the big bottle it looks almost identical, just with a bottle instead of a battery! MTBers are a funny old lot 🙂
I think they both look great. I don't think the super long geometry would be for me though which is a shame, the silver Jeht really does look nice!
Hmmmmm, not sure they look almost identical tbh? Biggest problem with the Rocket is it looks like one of those cheap kits bolted to a normal bike and I assume people spending £8k+ don't want that? With the solutions others are finding to the battery problem the Cotic looks like it's heading down an expensive dead end.
Jeht still looks swell though.
So are we thinking the full suss lineup is going to become:
Rocket big travel Ebike
Jeht all mountain mixed wheel*
Flare lighter trail 29er
Would seem to cover what I'd consider to be the best selling mtb and emtb segments?
*I too hate the term mullet. If I have to hear one more smug git proclaim its "business up front, party in back" as if they were the first person to coin the phrase, usually from the same type of person who was saying enduro was "like riding with your mates but the downhills are timed".
