Not dissimilar to this. Was this washed up on a UK beach or have you lifted the image from another source?

I can’t see the pic at work, just thought I’d point out that this thread is, if anything, more fun to read without it.

I;d like to say, for the record, that I havent been married before and that in no way looks like what my ex-wife might have looked like – if I’d ever been married. Which I haven’t. And anyway, I haven’t seen her for years

    racoon

Plausible, except it’s 4000miles in the wrong direction, the current on the eatern coast of the USA is heading south, not East.

Dog (and perspective giving it the apperance of a big head?)

My mother in law lives in Greater Leys (apparently the posh bit next door but I don’t see any posh)

Perhaps it is her, I hardly dare to hope but you never know. The are more than a few features she has in common.

In fact, she was going over to France on a booze cruise last week (I’m off to check for any reports of ferry accidents)

Pyranean mountain dog , or a dead, st bernard dog.

Either way its a biological hazard, report it to the local council and environment agency.

The the one in the original ‘montauk monster’ case was. The above isn’t, it’s fairly obvious that it’s a badger.
