    Getting fed up on hold to my insurer to ask this question, someone here might have an idea.

    I’ve got an Aviva policy with bike cover, it covers it for accidental damage and away from home cover. Can anyone think of any reason why this wouldn’t cover it when sending it by courier? There’s nothing in the policy schedule to suggest it wouldn’t be covered.

    It would make shipping the bike away for an Invisiframe hugely cheaper, although I can get shipping for £20 or so, insuring to the full value pushes that price up to £100 each way!

    I’d say no, as its not in your possession and you’re making no effort to secure it.
