I don’t think the cashback offer includes the Garmin bike computers. I’d love to be proved wrong though.

Best thing I have ever bought. Love it, right up till I smashed it 5 weeks ago! Still waiting for garment to replace it, if I thought I could get it for £70 I would just have bought a new one!

Does the 200 have the ability to follow a breadcrumb trail or any downloaded routes? I don’t need 50k mapping, just the ability to point me in the right direction!

I read it as any cycle computer.

Oh so tempted, but do I really need it if I already have an 800?

Can the 200 work with HR monitor and speed/cadence monitor? If so I’d be tempted for the road bike..

Unfortunately not. If you’ve already got an 800, I wouldn’t bother.

    It is very cute though.

It allows you to upload a route and will display a little arrow telling you which way to go.

Me too, hope you don’t have to have had a GPS Computer previously

As I understand it you just need any cycle computer.

Picked mine up earlier. Dead smooth until I had to deal with the work experience lad on the counter.

Still. It’ll do for me and no mention of gps in the cash back terms.

It does show the breadcrumb trail, which works a lot better than you might imagine.

I can’t praise the Garmin highly enough, it’s so much fun.

Does it come with a handlebar mount? Are additional mounts quite expensive?

When it says upload proof of purchase does it mean a photo of the receipt?

I would have thought that would do – or the email from an online purchaser confirming the order.

Amazon have it £107 which is only a few quid more and you won’t have to visit halfords if you opt for free delivery.

What does the 500 do that the 200 does not? I tried a 500 and loved it. Does the 200 record altitude, show course profile and breadcrumb trail.

The Garmin website makes no comment on upgrading from a GPS computer – any computer will suffice.

EDIT: This review will tell you all you need to know. I think I’ll hold out for the 500,a s I liked the route x-sectional view.

200 – basic bike computer, also does breadcrumb style trails and virtual races.

500 – like 200 but does HR, cadence, and power data too if youve got ant+ sensors

    800 – like a 500, but with maps.

Apparently there might be an 800s/900/something else at the end of the year to superceed the 800. Not sure whether to wait for that, or wait for that then buy an 800 when they’re presumably on sale, or get soemthing else like an xperia active.

searching for cashback on the garmin site reveals the offer is on the 200 and some nuvi and similar car units, I can’t see the 500 or others.

Bought one anyway. Son1 needs a new computer and it’s only 60% more than a decent wireless effort from Cateye.

I don’t bother with AMT+ power, liked the breadcrumb trails and will manage with GPS altitude. I don’t like touchscreen, and the 800 looks a little unwieldy.
