Rapha Cross Prestige returns, with new location

by 0

Rapha Prestige rides task teams of four with an all day adventure over stunning terrain. The events are self-supported and unmarshalled, with the only rule being that you start and finish as a team, passing through the checkpoints.

Grit.cx travelled to the Midlands for last year’s Cross Prestige, which wiggled along canal banks, field edges and through Cannock Chase. This year’s location is Manchester, and the ride will be taking place on 11 November. The route is still to be released, but we’d expect to be escaping the city centre start point (at Rapha’s clubhouse) pretty quickly and heading out towards good countryside in most directions.

The route is 80-100km long, seeking out the road less travelled, aiming to be quite remote at times. The surface will be mixed, with sections ranging from easy bridleways to complete wilderness. There will be three checkpoint locations and a supplied route which will be revealed only to confirmed participants 48 hours before the ride.

Grit.cx has a crack #dirtydropbargoodness squad attending. If you fancy joining us, details are available from Rapha. Entry is £60 per team, and closes on 9 October. The ride departs from and returns to the Rapha Clubhouse 5 St Ann’s Passage, M2 6AD.
