The SAWTOOTH is a new tyre from Specialized’s adventure gear product line. They’re tubeless ready and offered in a 700x42c size for all kinds of road/mixed surface rolling, cushion and gripping.
Just like it says on the box – ‘SAWTOOTH’ The tread pattern is inverse with a busy repeat this way and that way zigzagging chevron pattern running across the casing. Intended as an allrounder and designed for good rolling along the blacktop and finding traction in the looser gravel surfaced roads.
The tyres are constructed for the long haul wherever that is…Rubber is grippy GRIPTON compound, there’s more of the almost continuous center tread to help with high mileage wear and Specialized’s Endurant reinforced casing features for added toughness, resistance to cuts and a happy to go here there and everywhere with a load, rough or smooth build. The 42c volume is a good size that offers more air and lower pressures for where does that go? rougher road exploring and they are 2BLISS/tubeless ready for improved ride qualites and less risk of puncture.
