A few mates and I are planning on riding a point-to-point in the Yorks Dales this summer. We are going to use the train to get to our start point, and probably want to end at Bolton Abbey.

We are probably going to start in Horton in Ribblesdale.

My mate wants to go to Settle, then Malham, then somehow over to Bolton Abbey.

I am more keen to go over Pen Y Ghent to Litton, then over Old Cote Little Moor to Kettlewell, then try to fit in some more cross country to Bolton Abbey.

Does any one have any routes they have done, or local knowledge they can offer.

Last year we rode a loop out of Kettlewell, up Buckden Pike and down to Starbottom. Then over Old Cote Moor Top to Litton and back to Kettlewell over Old Cote Little Moor, so we have some knowledge, but not enough not argue about our route!
