    Here is my set up.

I ran the sky box and blu ray through the speakers as well as the cd and sonos and it sounds great.

Sorry about the terrible photo 🙂

System decidedly non optimised since daughter started enjoying pressing buttons and ripping off grilles to poke in tweeters….

Oh well, rubbish photo I took when I moved into my new house. Hi-Fi was moved to the sitting room and the pre-amp swapped from a NAC72 to a NAC102 with NAPSC. Currently boxed up as my son took too much an interest.

The rest is Hi-Cap, Naim CD3 and NAP140 with KEF 104 II speakers.

Nothing special – Quad 33/303, Rega Planet and Dynaudio speakers – just decided to set it up because of the other thread! 😉

Currently on SBLs andy. I did run IBL’s active for a long time before that. They were great but they liked to be driven hard to get the best out of them. Probably going back to passive for a year or two soon 🙁

My recent “Back to the 80s” system.

Not shown is a Yamaha cassette deck and a Fiio DAC running off an Airport Express.

    Speakers are Acoustic Energy AE109s

No pics of mine but I’ve got a Linn Sondek with Lingo P/S, Basik arm and K9 cartridge, into an MF X-LP phono stage, into an MF X-A1 amp which drives a pair of Linn Tukan speakers. All pretty old stuff now but still sounds good especially after I recently had the regular TT service and new stylus.

Project Debut turntable at the top does the job for the occasional disc spin.

Marantz DVD player, quite expensive at the time now totally out gunned by blu-ray, thinking of coupling it with a DAC for CD’s

    TEAC Tuner, pretty defunct

Marantz AV amp, recently deceased and replaced with a newer unit (NR1403) but now in the living room with some Boston Acoustics speakers.

Micromega Stage 1 CD player, skips a bit but there is a fix I beleive.

Technics Class A amp, lovely sound off of this, but has some power gremlins and the old speaker posts are pish.

    Sony Minidisc……

Marantz amp, wasn’t too bad for a budget amp but lost the power of stereo. I ended up running the two speakers from both speaker channels.

Teac tape deck, was skip bound but someone has asked for it, so it will live again.

I’ve also some mission 733’s with a knackered mid/bass driver and a really old pair of Wharfdale XP3’s which are a wee bit wooly.

So basically lots of not working or redundant kit 😆

And the headphones are Grado SR60’s which are lovely(and work!)

    Rega 3, Elys 2 cartidge.
Technics SL- PG520 CD player. Bit of an old school classic. Did buy a posh Arcam a few years ago to replace it but this still sounds better.
Kenwood amp, temporary replacement for a deceased NAD 3130. It’s pretty awful and will be replaced soon, probably by an old Rotel I’ve got my eye on for £80 or a new Marantz, which I’ve heard and like. Very wary of old amps though.
Old Sanyo cassette deck – due for replacement by something nicer, I’ve had it for 30 years!
Pair of tweaked Gale floorstanders – cheap & cheerful but sound fine.
Have some barely used Mission 700’s that might replace the Gales when I get round to buying some new stands.
    Target table.
    Mission solid core cable.
Cheapo Chord interconnects from Richer Sounds.

Sound starts off in an Apple TV then a Lindy DAC through to a Linn Classik all-in-one. Also added a Linn LK280 power amp now, to make the Linn Kan speakers sound their best.

Mana Acoustics stands on left for main sources, Isoblue for amps.

Rachel – I had some Kan’s for years (with a Nait 2), excellent speakers.

    The Tower of Doom…

The wall plug is supplying the FM receiver. Everything else is supplied via a hydra lead from a dedicated mains connection. Just in case you were wondering.
