Are we talking about the Ghostbusters with the kids? If so, I went into that with really, REALLY low expectations and was really pleasantly surprised. It was not a bad film and dealt with a dead lead actor from the originals in a good way.

Something seems to have gone very wrong with the last 10 years of film output though. Injecting “Progressive” political messages into scripts, castings etc doesn’t make for good movies.

ahh its all a woke conspiracy

    No, that’s Afterlife.

The 2016 movie, the bottom half of the Internet went full Andrew Tate because it had women in it.

my kids really liked the 2016 film, Afterlife was good, but a bit too heavy on pushing the nostalgia buttons

Given who made it, I was happy to cut them some slack on this.

And… Snyder isn’t attached to it, but Rogue Trooper seems to actually be finally happening (albeit in a low budget, animated way).

I realised while scrolling through Netflix that it’s quite possible that no one has yet discovered the true worst film ever.

With every week that goes past the number of low budget, made for streaming films seems to increase. Along with stuff dredged up from the darker recesses of the low royalty back catalogues.

The even worse bit is you start watching something and then give up on it 3 minutes later because it’s a load of festering yak vomit and then a week later…

Because you watched festering yak vomit you might also like …

    • Steaming horse manure
    • 50 first dates (with Louise)
    • Hamsternado 17
    • Etc.

Not a moan about Netflix as there’s some really good stuff out there too but just one bad five minutes of watching the wrong thing and you’re at risk of being sucked into a spiral of awfulness.

Have you seen Warcraft? It’s “low budget, animated” by the same director, it’s pretty good!
