Will any 1.5 stem fit a Cannondale steerer tube?

Or is their 1.5 different to everyone else's 1.5?

C'dale who created a 1.5 STD, and I believe offered it everyone, but it actually measure 1.56, the later 1.5 STD now sold is 1.5 as they had to be different. So c'dale stems are different from the 1.5 STD stems. A mallet will not solve this!
