    Why don’t they make whitewall tyres anymore? Considering the re-emergence of skinwall tyres for bicycles (which I LOVE, btw), I would have thought that people’s automotive tastes might have run a similar course.

    I know that some will say they were a nightmare to keep clean, but really… in this day and age, with all the detergents and chemicals we can use on our cars, I can’t imagine that this would be a serious problem.

    I mean, just look at this!

    Because it’s really difficult to draw a decent cock and balls on a black tyre with a permanent marker.

    Just to be dull – presumably because most modern cars have such low profile tyres there’s hardly any sidewall there to be white?
