Its glorious up here. Blue sky, crisp frost. I’m going to get this report out o the way and head out into the sunshine 🙂

Very tempted but in reality probably not.

Didn’t commute on the bike today as it’s way too icy.

I’m popping out later but haven’t decided whether to go for the safe option of Sherwood Pines or stretch a little further and head in the direction of Eyam.

Hmmm, choices.

Got an interview later this morning so may pop out later in the day if it goes well. Fingers crossed!

Yep, Rode in again. 100% concentration job. I allowed myself an hour (Normally takes 25 minutes).

There was still some virgin snow on my route, which was OK, and in other places where LOTS of people had walked it was also OK. High ground in Surrey above 500′ still has 6 inch of snow which has stayed soft.

Trickiest bits were lower down where it was frozen harder and was all disturbed.

Yep, going round the woods later this afternoon.

Blue skies here but the thaw has started, so trails bit to muddy.
More likely tomorrow, more likely to take kids for another shed session when they get home from school.

Commuted in and will commute home. I keep thinking I should go out a bit further but the lure of a hot bath at home is too much.

Heading out in a minute, guessing it will be very muddy….

I really, really wish I could have ridden today now. But my commute goes over a moor and yesterdays ride was a real hard slog. Very strong headwind from the east and thick snow all the way in, and on the way home I had to call for the broom wagon as the snow was frozen solid, and the patches where it had melted had turned to solid ice. Just looked at the forecast for the next 2 days and it’s not looking good for riding, a -8 and a -10 in there. Which is fine but means the snow won’t melt and the road will be way too icy.

It’s days like this I wish I had a short urban commute – at least I’d get out.

Had a great carving Calderdale ride this morning with Matt, Mark and James. Snow is surprisingly grippy as long as you don’t use your brakes.

Got 2.5 hours of z3 riding to do on the road tonight. Great fun…

It snowed like crazy for about an hour here yesterday and is now all gone again. So yes, very rainy muddy wednesday night ride as usual tonight. bah/yuk.
