I’m just looking forwards to Rory McGrath, Tony Robinson, Philip Pope, Jimmy Mulville and Julia Hills reunited after all this time.

Wonder if they’ll have to do a halo jump?

    Haha I saw that Drac

I’m hoping the sound of O2 was added later and the ‘medic’ was using the mask as a valuable placebo.

The SBS dude looks like he’s walked off the set of TOWIE !!?

Slap him round the face and tell him to get a grip.

The distant shot showed the bag inflated, why even put one on?

Perhaps some chest physio might help?

Well maybe that’s why he’s gone to hospital.

SBS ? Are they as hard as SAS, or do the SAS make fun of them?

Certainly hope not. We just do getting rid of gunk.

You can ask him that, I’ll be hiding behind the door.

Absolute waste of TV schedule. Peter Andre could storm an embassy better than these guys. Reality TV rubbish.

I thought it was great better than the BBC version which was too dramatised.

    Absolute trash !

Some units and their exploits are best kept secret.

Where do they get these weapon grade bell end contestants from ffs 😥

You would have thought they would have done some research before hand and at a minimum, trained on Pen y fan. Most are comical.

I guess may be all in the filming, but so far this lot look pretty hopeless compared to the BBC ones.*
Hat’s off to the person who sold the same idea to both sides though. Clearly a fan of “A Fistful of Dollars”

*given it lasts 8 days rather than 12 for the BBC one, I’m going with this lot being 33% more hopeless

They seemed to go straight into the tough stuff too where as the BBC built up slowly.

Some units and their exploits are best kept secret.

I doubt they’ll be revealing anything more than that’s already known. Lots of book out there and I can remember watching a similar programme as a kid.

To me the Special Forces personnel are held in high esteem..

Quietly confident, silent types who just get the job done!

This current SF fad goes against that.

    Drac

True but these type of shows come around every so often, I don’t think it does any real harm.

I suspect they laugh at them as much as we did the guy hyperventilating.

Yeah, some of them didn’t appear to have done a huge amount of preparation, if any. They can’t train for the mental stuff and maybe Pen Y Fan after that first day and no sleep would be too much for some, but all should have been prepared for the first day 8 miler with a pack. I don’t want to appear cynical, but there seemed to be a focus on that bloke who went in with his estranged son, maybe he’ll go all the way, despite appearing completely out of his depth. I wonder if they’re setting it up for him to make his son proud with a big hug and tears at the end.

Yeah, i’m shocked at the lack of preparation from most of them. Mildly entertaining giggling at the supposed tellings off though. Good luck to them if they tried to form up a bunch of SF lads and do that…

I would expect the contestants to have done the fan dance a couple of times, be capable of a BFT and have prepared themselves for a bit of sleep deprivation and listening to really loud death metal mixed with Westlife.
