which narrow (25-28 width) 700c tyre for rough stuff?

By rough stuff I mean gravelly, muddy canal path, broken glass, cratered city streets etc.

To be put on a steel ss/fixie* for commute duties across all the above on a daily basis.

thinking Schwalbe Marathons, Conti Gatorskins – does anyone have any outstanding recommendations? The cheaper the better!

Maybe look into Schwalbe land cruisers. If they come in the widths you want, they’d be perfect. Rob
