Um…Not too much to add that hasn’t been said really.
I’m going from a 224 to a Commencal Supreme. 224 is an awesome bike BUT I feel its a little long (I’m 5″ 10″) and needs to be ridden at pace ALL the time. I love it but you have to be ON it.
I’m thinking the Commencal will be just a little shorter and a bit more playful in its travel.
I would have thought the Gambler would be perfect but have heard its not so light.
Trek offers a 3 year manufacturing defect on Session frames, so the chainstay image- would be a clear warranty case, the crashed one would not be! Trek would offer that unfortunate rider a heavily subsidised crash replacement to replace his frame- much like most other decent companies out there. So far only one chainstay has failed in the UK- so maybe that image is for a rider in Yorkshire who is getting a new chainstay this week? n as always…try before you buy if possible!
